Requirements to Maintain Status

NPHC Greek Requirements

  • Must meet all Clubs & Organizations requirements listed in the other tab.
  • Must have 30 completed non-remedial credit hours at GSU and be classified as sophomore or above.
  • Must have at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA to apply for membership.
  • Must have been enrolled full-time and completed the prior semester at GSU.
  • Must be in good standing with no disciplinary sanctions within the past two years.
  • Must be cleared by SEAL.
  • Chapter officers must be financially active at chapter, regional, and national levels.
  • Must be an active member of the Pan-Hellenic Council.
  • Must have three designated delegates to attend PHC Council meetings.
  • NPHC monthly meetings are separate from general organization monthly meetings.
  • Intake occurs twice a year (October for fall, February for spring); chapters must select one cycle, not both.
  • Must be in good standing with the chapter's national office.
  • Members from other chapters or universities are not recognized and must be excluded from GSU chapter activity.
  • Students may not be initiated into or join Greek organizations at another university.
  • All intake activities must be held on the GSU campus.

Clubs & Organizations Requirements

  • Must register with SEAL every fall and spring semester.
  • Must maintain at least 10 members including officers.
  • All members must be enrolled full-time (12 credit hours).
  • Must have an advisor who is a full-time GSU faculty or staff member.
  • Members must maintain a 2.0 cumulative GPA.
  • Officers must maintain a 2.5 cumulative GPA.
  • Must have a constitution and bylaws on file with SEAL.
  • Must have an agency account with the GSU finance office.
  • Must attend SEAL orientation/registration each semester.
  • Must attend monthly SEAL meetings (fines apply for missing meetings).
  • Must complete two community service projects per semester plus SEAL-selected University service projects.
  • Must participate in Club and Organization Day.
  • Must participate in Miss GSU Coronation with a queen and escort.
  • Must submit meeting minutes and attendance within two days of each meeting.
  • Must attend Leadership Seminars.
  • Must deposit all organization funds in a University account.
  • Must submit the Annual Officer Registration transition form between April 15 and May 15.
  • Must complete the Anti-hazing course on CANVAS.
  • All members must sign a statement of understanding regarding the hazing policy.
